Why Can’t I Get a Final Design and Exact Price at the First Meeting?
The short answer
A custom outdoor project cannot always be priced accurately from a brief site visit. Layout, dimensions, structural requirements, site conditions, finishes, and dozens of design choices can materially change the cost.
How our process works
We start with a consultation and a rough budgetary estimate to determine whether the general scope and investment make sense. For projects requiring further development, we then move into a design and retainer stage before finalizing details and contract pricing.
Why this protects the homeowner
Detailed planning helps identify conflicts, clarify what is included, and reduce the risk of building from assumptions. An early rough estimate is a useful decision tool, but it is not a substitute for completed scope and drawings.
Our approach
We explain what is included at each step and what information is still needed. Changes in scope, selections, or site discoveries can affect final pricing.
